Placed in a geographic location of great natural interest, into the slopes of Mount Legnone (2610mt) and 1 km from the shores of Lake Como, you can found "LA VECCHIA FATTORIA (litterally THE OLD FARM) ": a charming renovated farm of 16th Century, leaving intact the historic features of the building, with a beautiful view of the lake and the panorama of mountains all around.
The farm is a nursery and breeding animals since 1984, family business where dad Gabriel, mother Marisa, and their children, Cristina and George, you divide the tasks among greenhouses, and farm animals.
The greenhouses are grown plants and flowers for sale and use inside the company, such as planting the garden and fruit trees.
The protagonist is the breeding cattle breed Piemontede, which has a very tasty meat but low in fat, suitable for the preparation of dishes.
Deers are also bred to race mountain, splendid specimens that graze in the park farm and laying hens.
The farm is the ideal place for those who want to transform a day of celebration into an unforgettable event, you will also find the right atmosphere and hospitality to organize the party.
Simple menu, with the products we produce, but careful attention to the detail of a healthy and genuine cuisine, our kitchen is typical of the area; you can taste the appetizers with our meats, specialties like Pizzocheri della Valtellina and Gnocchi di Chiavenna, the meat of our herds of cattle, pigs and even deers, strictly with vegetables grown in our gardens.
In the farm there are 2 dining rooms, one inside and one outside on the veranda, you can welcome guests with furnishings that recall the rustic, rural vote in this structure.
The rooms are designed to accommodate a variable number of people that will suit your needs.
We also organize your party, setting up individually the various tables and offering quality cuisine, but at the right price.
The farm offers hospitality in 3 bedrooms, for a total of 10 beds with private bathroom.
The Purple Room, can hold up to 4 people and has a beautiful lake view, the Wisteria Room is very spacious, ideal for families and can hold up to 4 people. Finally, the pink room, warm and welcoming, has a splendid view of Mount Legnone and can accommodate 2 people.
The treatment offered to the guests is the typical “bed and breakfast”, we not including lunch and dinner. If the restaurant is open, you can taste our dishes with menus à la carte.
