Baita Fraina is situated at the foot of Mount Faloria in an idyllic location at the edge of a forest, only two kilometres from the centre of Cortina, with breathtaking views of the Dolomite mountains.

It is a starting point for several hiking trails and a popular area for relaxing walks in the forest.

The building was restructured in 1965 and features four well appointed and comfortable dining rooms furnished in traditional style, featuring beautiful woodwork and artefacts from the past.

The wood-lined walls and the warmth from the classic tiled stoves, typical for the region, create a truly unique and welcoming atmosphere. For those wishing a quiet stay, Baita Fraina is the perfect choice.

The highly esteemed restaurant offers courteous and refined service second to none.

The restaurant is managed by two brothers; the older, Adolfo Menardi, who administers the family business, greets diners and takes them to their table, while the younger brother, Alessandro, is head chef and orchestrates the kitchen. Their wives, Anna and Tiziana, are responsible for the refined service and the great attention to detail which distinguishes the dining rooms.

The dishes are simple, made from quality seasonal ingredients, creating the right combination of flavours.

A typical Ampezzan dining room seating up to 15-20 people can be reserved for special occasions.
