Recently restored, the original structure has been completely preserved using original building materials. The main house offers four double rooms with private bathroom, furnished with taste and simplicity, and a charming restaurant where you can taste the typical local courses , from farmers tradition, personally prepared by the owner and where you can taste our own products. On one side of the house, in the ancient hayloft, two double bedrooms and 1 single room, each with own bathroom. As old farming and country life lovers, in a part of the complex, we preserved all ancient instruments in a little museum of peasant civilization and of Apennine.
Our farm estate is dislocated in two different areas of Vicchio countryside; the farm holiday and the restaurant are in Rupecanina, as the planted fields with corn; the sheep breeding, Mugello chestnut cultivation ( identified by law-code CEE 2081/92 as a fruit coming from a geographic protected area), white potato and all kind of vegetable are in Villore, a little village at the foot of the Apennine mountains, 500 above sea level. The hosts of our farm holiday, if they wish, can participate or assist to several farm activities as to the harvest. Four double bedrooms are in the main building, named as the four seasons and furnished in traditional Tuscan style, uncomplicated but comfortable. Each has its own bathroom( the bathroom for Spring room, respecting building structure, is just outside the bedroom), warm antique furniture, and original wooden beams and TV. Rooms named Winter and Autumn have space for a third extra bed.
Other three rooms have been obtained from the antique stables and they have been named as
some of our crops: sunflowers, cos, olives.
Olive is a single bedroom with private bathroom, Wheat is a double room with private bathroom and Sunflower is a double room with handicap accessible bathroom. As the main building, these rooms are furnished in traditional Tuscan style. The chef cares in every detail the tasty Tuscan courses, using products such as vegetables in season or farm production meats, always choosing the genuineness of the local fruits: olive oil, cheese and meat.
Our specialties are traditional courses such as “Tortelli di patate” ( ravioli stuffed with potatoes) with meat sauce, “Ribollita” (especially in winter), “Pici” with garlic, “Tagliatelle” homemade noodles with wild boar, duck or rabbit sauce and also the roast suckling pig, grilled meats or sliced
beef. We also offer our personal specialties: “Tortelli del pastore”, shepherd 's ravioli stuffed with cheese served with butter and sage or truffle sauce, spelt “Linguine” or “Gnocchi”
prepared in various ways according to products in season (for example, in winter the “Linguine” are prepared with a white sauce made by pork and leeks; in summer we use tomatoes, black olives, wild fennel and pecorino cheese), the roast rabbit in “porchetta” and special fried mixtures.
Finally, every day we use to prepare different cakes and homemade desserts.
Breakfast: Every morning our guests can taste homemade fruit jams, honey, croissants, yogurt,
bread and butter.
