Set at 450 m. above the sea level, San Bernardino del Lago consists of three attractive stone farmhouses typical of the region. Carefully restored they retain their original character and have been divided into 7 comfortable apartments and 1 villa. The apartments are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The houses are in a quiet position with lovely views and are reached by an unmade road approx. 1 Km long. The countryside around consists of gentle wooded slopes interspersed with cultivated valleys where grain is grown. Each apartment has its own entrance and outside private pergola equipped with table and chairs; we give bath,bed,kitchen linen and tools. In a few minutes driving on reach Rapolano Terme, famous thermal centre, with 2 establishment. Breakfast available on request. We are in the Chianti area, around us: Siena (30 km), Arezzo (35 km), Pienza (25 km), Cortona (35 km), Montalcino (35 km), and Montepulciano (25 km), San Quirico d’Orcia (30 km). Firenze is about 90 km away, Rome is 190 km and Pisa is about 190 km away.San Bernardino consists of 90 hectares (223 acres) on the Siena’s hills, swimming pool (19x38foots), private lake (11000 square meters = 13156 yard quadre) for our guests to fish, football camp; we produce oil (700 olive threes), wine, cereals, and we have 3 reserves of truffles; there is a horse riding in the neighbouring farm.We provide homemade meals for groups, we use only our biological products like eggs, vegetables, meat, oil, marmalade and honey.We organize wedding and other events.

In our restourant you can find the typical Tuscan plates, we use only our natural products: - - our oil is ground with the ancient COLD process of MILLSTONE in total respect of tradition, and giving it a delicate aroma, an intense color and a unique flavor - -the vineyard is composed of 97 percent Sangiovese vines (clone brunello) in the territory of Chianti Colline DOCG (Chianti Hills DOCG) - - white truffles - - we produce honey, fruits, vegetables etc - - Dinner: 25 euro per person including entries, first course, second course, vegetables, fruits, water and wine. - If you request the Florentine Steak (Bistecca Fiorentina) as meat plate the price is 30 euro per person. - Special price for children. Dinner is on request upon availability. - - To get in touch with the beauty and uniqueness of the truffle-world, and live the scents, colors and flavors, we organize tastings and guided tours to look for white truffles.
