Traditional self catering apartments in an antique farmhouse hidden in 1500 hectares of woodland in the Carline hills above Siena, right in the heart of Tuscany. The perfect holiday destination for those that want to take a break from the city, to experience the real Tuscany.
I am Jenny, originally from England, now happily married with Mirko, a boand bred Tuscan! We have been running La Boscaglia for 6 years now, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to host people at "our house"! Here you will find the peace and quiet that the forests of Tuscany have to offer, the feeling of being at home mixed with our traditional cooking, our animals and nature that surrounds us. An authentic Tuscan countryside experience.
For our guests there is a swimming pool, a BBQ in the gardens around the farmhouse equipped for picnics and a small meeting room for those who want to organize courses or special events.
We also offer a laundry service, cot / highchair for children, central heating and parking.
In our restaurant we organize dinners, lunches, communions, baptisms, meetings and anything else on request.
In the summer we organize dinners or buffets with local products of various types.
At "La Boscaglia" you will find a restaurant where we serve typical local cuisine. - -
You will find many traditional dishes at our restaurant, inspired by the local area and culture of Tuscany; Game dishes such as farro soup, bread soup, pappardelle pasta with wild boar or venison, pasta with porcini mushrooms (in season). - -
We have a terrace for outdoor dining during the summer months, along with a traditional pizza oven where we can create pizza to suit everyones taste!
Our apartments are self catering however we do offer the service of a buffet breakfast in our restaurant on request. We are also able to offer a breakfast tray brought to your apartment! These services can be ordered on your arrival.
La Boscaglia is in the hills of "Le Carline" an area completely left in its natural state. History is around every corner, Partisan huts from the World War, etruscan towns such as Radicondoli and the Abbey of San Galgano just 20 minutes away. Plenty to explore while at the same time enjoying the relaxed pace of the Tuscan way of life!
