Villa Mazzi is on the Cugusi family estate near Montepulciano. Here, the family has been raising sheep and producing the typical Pecorino cheese already for several decades. The extensive estate also features olivegroves, vineyards and fields. Villa Mazzi is beautifully situated, immersed in the lovely warm colors of the Tuscan hills, surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and lush meadows dotted with the farm 's grazing sheep. It is located on Strada per Pienza, just 2 Kilometers from Montepulciano. The farmhouse 's position at 500 meters above sea level ensures mild weather with cool breezes during the hot summers. The property offers stunning panoramic views overlooking the hillside town of Montepulciano, the temple of San Biagio, Valdichiana and Cortona. In the farmhouse there are 4 apartments for 2 and 4 persons, furnished and decorated in the traditional and warm Tuscan style. The architecture of the residence has the characteristic feel of a Tuscan farmhouse: the external walls are made of stone and terracotta brick, the ceilings have exposed wooden beams and the floors are tiled in terracotta. Close to Montepulciano you have the possibility to visit other historical and artistic Tuscan towns: Pienza 10 km, Chianciano Terme 9 km, Chiusi 22 km, Montalcino 35 km, Siena 65 km, Cortona 28 km etc. If you will enjoy yourself in sporting activities you will find swimming-pools (naturals and thermals), horse-riding, tennis courts. Here you will also find the production and the sale of the delicious tasting extra virgin olive oil and also the noble famous red wine of Montepulciano "Vino Nobile di Montepulciano D. O. C. G " and wine "Rosso di Montepulciano D. O. C " which is also produced in the winery of the estate. The shop offers also wine, oil, honey, marmalades and salami. If the guests are interested to try your hand at the work of the farm, they can help at the grape and olive harvest.
