Near the enchanting clay knolls of the Orcia Valley and resting on a hill just below the medieval town of Montepulciano is a little country house immersed in the green of the surrounding olive grove.
Usually olive green is described as a lackluster color but not so with Tuscan olive green. This color along with ochre, red and violet constitute the chromatic background of the countryside. These colors are the hues that play a prominent role in the recent renovation of our farm house into a welcoming holiday residence.
Our farm house Il Vecchio Milipano is in the center of almost two hectares of cultivated farm land. There are various fruit orchards, vegetable gardens and one hundred and fifteen olive trees with their olive green leaves that produced an excellent and ambrosial oil.
Il Vecchio Milipano is the perfect place for the lovers of tranquility. It is a place where one could read in splendid silence or take country walks along paths where one might be lucky enough to encounter a hare, a pheasant and even a beautiful roe deer.
Just like our colors which play primary roles in Il Vecchio Milipano nature, culture, art and history
are the stars of this corner of Tuscany that will help one rediscover the pleasure of the simple things of life.
Along with nature, culture and colors the Casucci family will welcome you to our little world of Il Vecchio Milipano and sweetly introduce you to our century old customs and traditions.
