The farmhouse was built during the 19th century and has been recently restored, offering the possibility to pass a quality holiday with sports, wellness, culture and recreation, guaranteeing also a peaceful stay in the magic sunny land of the Maremma Tuscany. With 10 rooms, furnished in the classic Tuscan country style and equipped with each necessary comfort, it is the ideal destination for those who love to pass natural and intimate moments. A lounge furnished with numerous art, history and culture books from this area will allow you to have an “informed” holiday, deepening historic and naturalistic knowledge of the neighbouring villages whose origins are dating back to an Etruscan and Roman epoch. The farmhouse is surrounded by a huge park, equipped with all necessary facilities to enjoy moments of relaxation under the shadow of the age-old trees ore dedicating oneself to sunbathing. Pian del Sorbo offers a simple and homemade cuisine, made of grandma’s recipes and the memory of a peasant culture that accompanied everyday life. Tuscany, a land renowned for its flavours, the simplest ones such as the typical bread with which one tastes charcuterie and olive oil. An oil that is still today a product of traditional cultivation, a controlled denomination of origin (DOC), viewing the Maremma as an area “par excellence” also for the production of wine. Vineyards that are representing us in the world with its high quality fruits such as Morellino di Scansano or Brunello di Montalcino. Tuscany is also a feast for the palate and at Pian del Sorbo the feast is starting from the morning with a typical Maremma-breakfast: ricotta with warm honey and charcuterie, beside jams, home-made bread as well as cakes. During the stay, guests will always have the possibility to taste local products, also participating in numerous tasting events taking place on the spot: quality wines, extravergin olive oil, typical local cheese and charcuterie, local home-made cakes presented and commented by experts of this sector during thematic evenings organized at Pian del Sorbo.
