From its vantage point high up on the hills, the fattoria la capitana overlooks one of the most beautiful stretches of the maremma coastline. Jewels such as the island of giglio, the fortress of talamone and the whole of the argentario appear to be within reach and everything is enveloped in the peace of the gentle surrounding hills. The fattoria (an 18th century structure of around 3,000 sq. m . ) is still surrounded by a centuries-old olive-grove, the sight of which brings back memories of the past, when the old oil-mill was driven by horses, or when the harvest was followed by days of feverish activity inside the splendid stone cellars: perfectly preserved and still used to this day, as is the delightful chapel. Today the fattoria boasts a number of different structures which can be combined to satisfy any requirement: there is a farm holiday complex consisting of apartments, a manor house and some old bas which have been renovated to produce two 150 sq. m . Halls. The big garden in front of the fattoria is actually a terrace overlooking the sea, opposite the argentario promontory, with a wonderful heated swimming pool and jacuzzi. The villa is a 700’s structure placed on a hill overviewing the entire Argentario’s promontory, composed by two units: the House and the Apartments. For particularly large groups it is possible to join toghether the house and the apartments so to have an only common place to stay in.

Fattoria La Capitana is situated on a hill, 250 meters above sea level, from which it overlooks the Argentario Promontory and the sea. It is a 20 minute drive to Orbetello, Porto Ercole, Porto Santo Stefano or Talamone. Thirty minutes by car will take you to the Parco Naturale dell’Uccellina the ideal place for walks and hikes in perfect harmony with nature. A 40 minute drive will take you to enchanting places such as the Terme di Saturnia and the villages of Sorana, Sovana, Pitigliano, Manciano, etc In the surroundings of the FATTORIA you can find several play and recreational outdoor activities, such as a beautiful riding school and golf courses. Also there is the possibility to go canoeing and make boat excursions, also on typical local fishing boats
