Tenuta San Carlo is the ideal destination for a peaceful vacation immersed in nature. Of a 1000 acres of land, half is dedicated to organic agriculture, while the other half is protected park land. In addition to growing rice and other crops (such as heirloom wheat, chickpeas and golden flax), we also have a herd of heritage breed cattle and a few horses. You will also find dogs, cats, and plenty of native wildlife roaming around the farm. For further information please visit our website.
The Lotti family has called Tenuta San Carlo home since 1936. Today, Ariane and Samantha, the grandchildren of the first Lottis to cultivate this land, take care of Tenuta San Carlo and the guests who stay here.
Biking, trekking, horseback riding, fresh organic products
Tenuta San Carlo is located roughly halfway between Florence and Rome, making it the perfect retreat on a travel through Italy and a great home base for day trips to cities such as Siena, Cortona, Arezzo, or Perugia. Even nearer by, guests can visit the natural hot springs of Saturnia or the island of Elba. Better yet, without hopping in the car or catching a train, they can explore our property itself on foot or by bike, passing through the forest on the way to the beach. Nature-lovers can spend time hiking around the regional park, which extends to a part of our land. Others may prefer to pass their days visiting the quaint beach towns surrounding us, shopping for unique souvenirs and indulging in the tastes of Tuscany.
