Il Sole del Sodo is a small paradise nestled in a village in the Tuscan countryside just waiting to welcome, host and amaze. It is accessed by opening the wrought iron gate and the coolness of the stone, the plants, flowers and sofas or antiques around the garden will immediately give that feeling of 'Home away from Home'.

From the entrance door, on the left side you enter the sitting room with fireplace while on the right side you enter the room of the Pastaia whose name derives from an old piece of furniture that today contains various objects but which was used to dry pasta! Today it is a large and spacious dining room where guests can spend moments of convivial serenity

Also on the ground floor there is a new and comfortable kitchen equipped with everything a good chef would like to have as tools of the trade.

A stone staircase, typical of the Cortona area, leads to the first floor where you enter the sleeping area. Each room was created following a different theme that differentiates them from each other.

On the back of the house, surrounded by greenery and olive trees, is the private swimming pool. Protected from prying eyes and not visible from the entrance, the particular position chosen guarantees plenty of sun, peace and intimacy. The flooring used for the outside is teak, since it does not heat up in the sun, it allows you to walk barefoot or sit on board and on the ground without the danger of getting burned.

The villa is only 5 minutes by car from the historic center of Cortona.

Il Sole del Sodo is the ideal location for people wishing to spend their holiday relaxing in Tuscany, while enjoying our appealing life-style.

The old 19th century farmhouse has been converted into a B&B with 6 rooms, each one different from the other and all with en-suite bathrooms. The rooms are finely furnished with a combination of classic-country and vintage-mode pieces. The unique atmosphere that Claudia managed to create at Il Sole del Sodo can be found in every corner of the house—including the original lamps designed and created by her during the renovation of the farmhouse.

◦In-house cooking classes are sometimes available with Silvia, who unveils (by reservation) the secrets of her kitchen in our customized cooking classes. Other off-site cooking classes are available, too

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the beautiful sala della pastaia or in your bedroom. Claudia in an attempt to make reception truly extraordinary decided to serve breakfast from 8:30am to 11:00am – not your common breakfast times!
