Cianciò is situated at the very bottom of Sicily, about 10 miles south of Modica and 4 miles from Pozzallo. The choice of building materials and furnishings help maintain the original character of the 19th century farm. Carob, cactus and olive trees grow in the surrounding area which is riddled with ancient dry stone walls. The large pebbled courtyard, the 'heart ' of the farm, is surrounded by the farm house, cowsheds and warehouses once used to store carob, wheat and straw. Newly and tastefully refurbished they now serve as spacious and comfortable en-suite guest rooms. There are four rooms/apartments offering a total of 15 beds. The surrounding country lanes invite you to take a pleasant and relaxing walk. There are 7 units, all opening to the courtyard, all with bathroom and almost all with their own private garden, where you can take your breakfast and relax in beautiful surroundings. The owner 's interior design background, great attention to detail and personal touch show throughout the masseria. The refined country estate is situated in the equally appealing Iblean countryside. All units have wood beam ceilings and you’ll find all the necessary appliances for a pleasant stay such as fridge, hair dryer etc. The late 18th / early 19th century furniture perfectly matches the original pieces found in the masseria. Local materials of the highest quality have been used throughout - the stone walls and original floors made from local Ragusan stone, the, the wooden beams and the Caltagirone ceramic tiles.
