Starting from the town of Bellano, we will pass through small villages overlooking the lake banks, characterized by breathtaking views and unmissable landscapes. Information
Inhabited since prehistory, Lake Como has always been very important as a means of communications between the northern regions and the Po valley. Also known as “Lario”, it has a particular Y shape and is for the third Italian lake for its size.

Stage

BELLANO
Located on the eastern shore of the lake, in a panoramic position, Bellano is interesting for its historic center, characterized by particular medieval buildings and churches (Santa Marta and the Saints Nazzaro and Celso). Bellano offers charming lakeside promenades and a natural gorge known as "Orrido", created by the river Pioverna.

MANDELLO DEL LARIO
Overlooking Lake Como, Mandello del Lario is a city of pre-Roman origins. From here, just a few minutes by car, you can reach "Pian dei Resinelli", one of the most beautiful plateaus in northern Italy featuring an extremely evocative natural landscape.

LECCO
The setting of Manzoni's “The Bethroted”, Lecco boasts pre-Roman origins and it overlooks the Lake. In this wonderful town you can visit the ancient Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Vittoria, commemorating the soldiers who died during the First World War, Musei Civici and Villa Manzoni, collecting the objects which belonged to the great Italian writer who lived there from 1811 to 1818.

BELLAGIO
Known as the "Pearl of the Lake", Bellagio boasts an enchanting panoramic position: it is strongly rooted in history with its old Borgo and the 12th-century church of San Giacomo. Among the monuments not to be missed there is the Park of Villa Serbelloni located on the top of a promontory with a breathtaking view over Lario.

COMO
City of culture, rich in monuments, surrounded by medieval walls, Como has an historical center where you will find shops and ome famous instances of rationalist architecture. Do not miss colorful Piazza San Fedele, the stern "Porta Torre" (once the main entrance to the city) and the modern Piazza Cavour.

ARGEGNO
A city of Roman origins, the ancient village of Argegno is framed by the beauty and colours of the lake: in order to discover it, all you have to do is take a walk in the old town with its ancient buildings, such as the Oratorio and the church of Trinità. From Argegno you can take a cable car up to Pigra, located on a plateau where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Larian valleys.

LENNO
In Lenno don't forget to visit the 18th-century Villa Balbianello, one of the most beautiful villas in this area . This villa is also famous for having been one of the sets of the latest films of the Star Wars series (it was used as the dwelling place of queen Amidala, Luke Skywalker's mother). Do not miss some monuments in the old town: the Church of Santo Stefano, going back to the 11th century, and the Romanesque Baptistery of San Giovanni, one of the better preserved buildings dating back to that time.

MENAGGIO
Menaggio is an excellent starting point for lovers of excursions: from here in fact you can reach the refuge by the same name, choose among many different and interesting trekking routes and visit the Menaggio Castle, dating back to the 10th century on a hill overlooking the village and the Church of San Carlo.

DONGO
Dongo is a very small village, but it is a real gem. The most interesting monument is the central Palazzo Manzi, dating back to the 19th century and the seat of the Town Hall. Among the sacred architectures there are the Church of Santo Stefano, rebuilt in the 18th century on the ruins of a Romanesque temple and the sanctuary of "Madonna delle Lacrime", built by Maestri Comacini.
