The original name of the farm was “Masseria la Pecorona”. Built around the eighteenth century, was an ancient rural estate devoted to agricultural production and cattle farming. Bought by Barnaba’s family in 1992, today is called Tenuta Chianchizza,

The strategic location of Chianchizza, makes this place accessible from all part of the south east of Bari area. Well refined and essential, nestled in 16 acres of olive groves, carob and almond trees. Walking in the old mill, now a restaurant of rare beauty, you can run into the deepest signs of the rural past. In the middle of the hall, there is still a great millstone, once used by farmers to produce “green gold “, olive oil. The legend tells that many of the sheep farmer, inexplicably disappear once they entered into the cave.
