Situated on the hillside of Biella, surrounded by alpine woods and mountains, Cascina Bonina is set in 30,000 square meters of parkland, with a selection of olive and citrus trees, cypresses and palms such an Phoenix, Butia, Sabal and Washingtonia. A unique garden has been created by adding azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias together with some of the most typical Mediterranean herbs.
A relaxing and charming setting where you can even enjoy a peaceful holiday in one of the three recently renovated and beautifully decorated apartments. A place where natural beauty, peace and elegance prevails. The particular micro-climate of the area together with 20 years of hard work and passion have made possible the ambitious project of the cultivation of olive trees, today with more than 100. A dream come true for the owners who also produce a high quality extra virgin olive oil. Olive trees were already cultivated in this area between the 12th and 15th centuries.Another aspect of the garden are its 40 different varieties of citrus trees and plants, some of which are planted in the ground but the majority are in large terracotta pots that during the cold months of the year are housed in beautiful winter gardens. One can enjoy strolls through this beautiful garden and even try the exquisite marmalade produced here.
