Elegant and sophisticated XVIII century house, overlooking Roero and Langhe hills.
We renovated it with great care and love, respecting the original structure, reusing and exploiting the original materials to recreate the atmosphere of the ancient houses of Piedmont nobility living close to Savoy castles. Now the old house revives as our home, in one wing, and as a “Relais de Charme” for our guests in the other. A Boutique Hotel, with the warm atmosphere of the Bed & Breakfast!
The thick, ancient walls offer you a pleasant coolness in summer and warmth in winter evenings, the large terraces a magnificent view over the hills, the greenhouse and the garden the relaxation of the countryside.
Inside, the frescos, all restored, provide a special charm to the rooms, lounges and bathrooms. In the floor we kept the traditional tiles used in old piedmont houses.
The large bathrooms, designed for relaxation, are decorated with either cast iron bath-tubes, english style, or large showers. On the wall, old prints, lamps…
All the furniture, either French or from Piedmont, is chosen to recreate the original atmosphere of the house. The bath towels and bed linens come, for a great part, from the closets of our grandmothers….

The garden, enclosed in the U structure of the house, overlooks the hills; seen from here the hills of Roero and Langhe are a spectacular sight – Barbaresco village is just in front of us – and in the bright days, in the background you can spot the snow on top of the peaks of Alps, Argentera, Corno Stella… The “terrace”, between the garden and the vineyard is designed as a romantic corner just for you or for hosting small private receptions with family and friends. If needed we will be happy to help you in planning the event. Below the “terrace” the swimming pool overlooks our small nebbiolo vineyard, with great views on the Langhe hills: for relaxing or swimming or just sunbathing! And with the new season, no more chlorine addition, but salty water, naturally clean! Where once there was the woodshed, we have now created the relaxing zone for the cold season but not only…

Breakfast

In our family the favorite moment of the day is breakfast! We propose a choice of homemade goodies: jams, cakes and biscuits, fresh fruit juices and seasonal products of countryside where we live, cheeses form Alta Langa…

In our family, three people have celiac disease, so we face the problem every day. If informed in advance we can prepare our proven and guaranteed gluten free recipes, including cakes, biscuits…

Surroundings (Govone)

Left bank of the Tanaro river, the Roero region is situated between Langhe and Monferrato hills, in the heart of the Piedmont wine region. A cluster of hills that, starting from the impressive fracture of the “rocche”, in a continuous up and down, arrives to the bank of Tanaro, facing the hills of Langa.
Variegated landscape, where the wild beauty of the “rocche” alternates with the peaceful profile of tidy hillside vineyards, the shadows of the old chestnut trees woods with the blossoming orchards and fruit gardens and the simple farms with proud castles. An aristocratic land, full of castles and towers, whose name reminds us the noble Asti families protagonist in middle age. To discover our territory we can organize trekkings into the vineyards, tours with “Vespa” motorbikes up and down Langa and Roero hills, biking tours in the small roads around the vineyards, visits to antique markets, shopping in town or in region outlets.
