We are a family that has lived on these lands for generations, deeply connected to the famous terraced fields supported by dry-stone walls, typical of the steep and rugged Ligurian terrain that plunges into the sea, blessed by a mild climate almost all year round.
The name "U CARUGGIU", which we chose for our agriturismo, comes from the Imperiese dialect and means "a narrow street between two rows of houses that follow one another sequentially, crossed by arcades, interrupted by steep staircases and sudden recesses".
The structure consists of two recently renovated apartments, located in the historic center of a small Ligurian village. The perimeter walls are made of stone, and the ceilings are supported by wooden beams.
L’Olivo Apartment: Features a 28 sqm living room with a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower, a double bedroom, and a small bedroom.
La Vite Apartment: Offers a 25 sqm living room with a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a 20 sqm terrace.
Borgomaro, where our farm is located, lies at the bottom of a valley crossed by the Impero stream, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees covering the mountains until they give way to lush chestnut, oak, and beech forests. During the right season, visitors can forage for fragrant porcini mushrooms and other wild varieties.
For sea lovers, Imperia is just a 10-minute drive away, Sanremo can be reached in 40 minutes, and Monte Carlo in just one hour.
The area offers numerous mountain bike trails, and in summer, visitors can swim in the beautiful natural pools formed by the Impero stream.
