The Country House "Il Pellegrino " is named after the small chapel of Saint Pellegrino, an ancient, picturesque building set in the small hamlet of Pelosa; the farm is certified as organic; it produces fruit and vegetables in open field, soft fruit (such as raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, gooseberries, silver-berries, elderberries), aromatic and medicinal herbs.
Our own modest animal farm guarantees to our clients wishing to stay on half or full board the chance to taste free-range chicken and rabbit, together with fresh eggs collected day by day.
Any remaining fruit and vegetables become the ingredients for home-made marmalades, jellies, pickles, juices, syrups and all sorts of other herbal teas and mixtures. The country house 's open season runs from April to December, offering our guests both accommodation and catering. The rooms are spacious and homely with individual en suite bathroom. Breakfast, included in the price for the overnight stay, is served in our dining room. On request of our guests we also provide lunch and an evening meal, based on local recipes and organic ingredients of our own production.
During weekends we are happy to welcome bikers, cyclists, passer-bys and hikers, offering them a space where to rest, together with a tasting of local and home-made products.
