The farm is located in front of mount cocuzzo, 5km from the tyrrhenian coast overlooking the savuto valley. The view over the mountainous plateau of the sila, calabria? S national park which is immersed in the green of olive groves, is breath-taking. There is a gentle breeze from the sea even during the hottest part of the day that can be enjoyed on woodland walks or by the side of the swimming pool. The favourable climate and the abundance of natural springs are particularly beneficial to crops, all of which are produced entirely organically. They include olives, grapes, various peppers and tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes, beans, figs, nectarines, peaches and mushrooms. Animals are also raised on the farm, such as rabbits, geese, chickens and the black calabrian pig, which is used to make delicious salami and sausages. A hearty welcome can always be expected from the mauri family, who are passionate about the land, worked by their ancestors for many generations. They make their own wine, olive oil, antipasti and jams which can all be enjoyed in the dining room or bought to take home, and they also run traditional embroidery and crochet courses.
