monte grappa asoloThe Monte Grappa,  part of the Alpine foothills, is important for its role as a border between the provinces of Vicenza, Treviso, Belluno, but also for being the scene of fighting during the First World War.

On its slopes there are some fascinating small and welcoming villages as Castelcucco, the initial step of our trip. Its history is closely tied to the one of the near Asolo, and heavily affected by some earthquakes over the centuries.
Moving on to Paderno del Grappa, a small town nearbt with the impressive Villa Fietta, you can reach the center of Asolo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
Despite nearly ten thousand inhabitants accounts, Asolo maintains all the beauty and charm of a small village. The fortress is a medieval building that is the symbol of the city; from its walls you can enjoy a superb view over the hills.
Asolo is also tied to some big names, like Caterina Cornaro, Queen of Cyprus and Lady of Asolo during the age of Venetian Republic.Furthermore, Eleonora Duse, the famous actress who loved Gabriele D’Annunzio, chose to live here part of his life and is buried here. There are interesting sections of the city museum dedicated to them.

A unique landscape, gentle hills rich in history and culture, in which you must be cuddled.
