Spending a few days at a farmhouse also means to get in touch with local history through monuments and artistic examples that can be found near several farmhouses. Farmhouse Villa Graziani (located in Vada, in the province of Livorno) rises in an area of great historical value, and it gives its guests the opportunity to visit the park of the Villa, and thus have an interesting insight into the rural life of several centuries ago by visiting the Museum of the farm.

The park of Villa Graziani is a place where natural beauty goes hand in hand with local findings: you can find here some Roman tombstones dating back to the first centuries AD, during the period of greatest crisis of the empire. The park was specifically chosen to cellect these findings, in order to enhance their archaeological importance. The museum of farming is rather an interesting collection of everyday objects of the countryside several centuries ago.
A real journey through history, in order to live surrounded by the beauty of nature as only the incomparable Tuscany can do … for some people this may be a different way of learning from books, but just as effective. What do you think? We totally agree!
