Details:
Organic fruit conserves, extra virgin olive oil made with a grindstone and cold pressing, wine grapes, all made using natural techniques: these are just a few of the delicacies that make farm house Il Poggio dell’Artilla a stopover that cannot be missed by lovers of good food!
Located at the heart of Alta Tuscia, the land of Etrurians, at the crossroads between Lazio, Umbria and Toscana, the farm house offers a great number of opportunities to come close to the ancient tastes of these lands. Sensorial workshops, guided tastings of wines and cheese, package holidays at the discovery of Italian wines, their origin, history and production, including a tasting class with a famous wine waiter, featuring the visual, olfactory and taste analysis of wine. The courses of the Didactic Farm are a great deal: a course to learn to combine a dish to the right wine; “Cheese, what a passion!” to make cacio and ricotta cheese with guests, and the chance to prepare together traditional dishes such as fettuccine, tagliatelle and gnocchi. And again: walks to look for wild herbs used to prepare typical dishes, the preparation of organic jams with the addition of some special ingredients, and, finally, the discovery of the history and traditions of home-made spirits, like rosolio.
