M'illumino di meno Energy Saving DayToday, February the 17th, is the day dedicated to save energy. For the eighth consecutive year, the  initiative “M’illumino di meno”  launched by Caterpillar, the popular Radio 2 program, invites everyone to turn off the lights and all electrical devices not essentials.
In the previous editions “M’illumino di meno” has infected millions of people engaged in a ethics competition of good environmental practices.
In the “energy silence” will also join many Italian and European cities by illuminating less squares and monuments.
The idea is to become ambassadors of energy conservation by practicing virtuous actions to rationalize consumption, such as the reduction of waste, clean energy, sustainable transport (cycling, car sharing, public transport, walking), reduction of waste (waste collection, recycling and reuse, attention to food waste).
All this is to remember that there is a huge, free and used in the field of clean energy: saving.
