Whoever said that the summer is over? September may be one of the best times to enjoy the peacefulness of a beach holiday. Here are some tips for a stay at the Farmhouse in some of the most enchanting Italian resorts.
1) Lerici’s sea in the name of biodiversity
We are in Lerici, located in one of the most beautiful bays of the Riviera di Levante, known worldwide as the “Gulf of Poets”. Besides the well-known Gulf enclosed by the Castles of San Terenzo and Lerici, many are the picturesque hillside villages connected by scenic trails, secluded coves opening up among the cliffs, like in Fiascherino,
and small architectural jewels such as Tellaro. It is in the pretty village of Marinella di Sarzana that we find the Farmhouse Cà Lorenzo, which for decades has dealt with organic farming and with projects supporting biodiversity, encouraging sustainability and adding value to local production, especially in the fruit and vegetables sector.
2) A green oasis along the Conero Riviera
In a scenic location in the beautiful Conero Park, Farmhouse Il Mandorlo offers hospitality in a luscious green atmosphere and in silence, with a view that stretches from the Apennines to the sea of the Marche. An excellent starting point not only for fascinating excursions
in the Park and for trips along the Conero Riviera, but also for interesting visits to the nearby towns of Sirolo, Numana, Loreto and Ancona. The farmhouse is located on top of a hill, surrounded by a beautiful garden and the scents of jasmine and lavender. The recently renovated building still retains ithe original features of the typical Marche architecture: pink stone from Conero and warm orange colors.
3) A stay among the olive trees on the Etruscan Coast
In the village of Cecina, by the Tuscan sea along the beautiful Etruscan Coast just a few kilometers from Livorno: here lies the Farmhouse Village Casa Milla, which includes
five flats located inside the fancient farm and two independent villas, surrounded by a large garden, olive and fruit trees. The beautiful towns of Volterra and San Gimignano are close by, while Bolgheri, renowned worldwide for wines Sassicaia and Ornellaia, is located just ten kilometers from the farmhouse. The village is an ideal starting point for exploring this fascinating area of Tuscany, combining a clear sea in a wonderful natural scenery with botanical oases, forests and pine forests, in addition to the artistic treasures of the Etruscan civilization.
