Crystal clear waters, fortresses overlooking the sea, pristine beaches: here we are in Puglia, a unique destination for summer holidays, to enjoy with a stopover at some of the most picturesque farmhouses in the region.
1) Relaxing by the swimming pool in Ostuni
Our first stop on our trip to Puglia is Ostuni, at the Bed and Breakfast with swimming pool La Piana degli Ulivi, which embodies the warmth and hospitality of Puglia. The B&B is combined with some comfortable apartments, very close to the sea. Surrounded by olive trees and stone walls, the white facility provides guests with a lovely panoramic terrace, toenjoy a hearty breakfast, and a large swimming pool where you can spend relaxing afternoons.
2) Breakfast with a view in Martano
Here we are in Martano in the province of Lecce, where we find the Bed and Breakfast Relais Tenuta Campi, offering a glimpse of the traditional rural life of Salento. Surrounded by green countryside, among dry stone walls, olive trees, citrus and Mediterranean vegetation, in a landscape dotted with old farms, the B&B is very close to the beaches. Rooms are charming with vaulted ceiling, and the breakfast room overlooks the large outdoor pool. Great breakfast that in addition to homemade cakes offers genuine products such as grilled eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes and capers in salt.
3) A stunnning 19th-century village in Valle d’Itria
Our third stage is the Bed and Breakfast Riposo del Vento in Cisternino, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: a nineteenth-century complex that consists of trulli in local stone, which form a village, set in a garden with olive trees. Comfortable rooms furnished with natural materials, from wood to stone, and its guests can enjoy a large swimming pool and relax in the countryside: vineyards, expanses of red tomatoes, the sea a short distance away and a healthy breakfast. Upon request, riding lessons, massages, excursions and dinners cooked entirely in a wood oven.
