Christmas is approaching, it is time for markets! With their lights and warm atmosphere, these events warm up the winter air. Let’s find out some of the finest markets of our country, with our advice to stay on a farm!
1) Montepulciano, Siena:
From December 6 to January 6, the splendid Tuscan village of Montepulciano houses a charming little market with stands dedicated to local products such as honey, jams, olive oil and chocolate. Here you can taste the organic products of the village: the excellent wine, preserves and pastries; and then explore the variety of objects of crafts such as pottery, dishes and original lamps, for unique gift ideas.

2) Casandrino, Naples:
From November 26 to January 6, the square of the village in the province of Naples is transformed thanks to the Christmas decorations, and many stands with household objects, works of crafts and fresh produce. The event will include the performances of street artists, entertainment for the little ones, the parade of the band and a cheerful musical entertainment.

3) Levico Terme, Trento:
From November 23 to January 6, in the evocative setting of the Parco Asburgico, here is one of the most fabulous Christmas markets ever, with houses surrounded by majestic trees. Crafts and food and wine as always are the protagonists, in particular, do not miss the traditional dishes, the local wines and grappa of the Advent. And again, a visit to the house of the Elves, and the hunt for the children to the throne of Santa Claus!

4) Bagheria, Palermo:
From December 6 to January 6, Bagheria is celebrating with a true gastronomic marathon: to open the event the Festival of Sfincione, in which 20 bakers will compete to achieve the best Sfincione in Bagheria. Afterwards, the Sausage Festival, accompanied by the excellent local wine, and then traditional sweets, exhibitions of artisans and hobbyists, cribs and live music.

5) Govone, Cuneo:
From 2 December to 6 January, the village of Govone between Alba and Asti is transformed into the magical Christmas Village: the extraordinary Royal Castle, a UNESCO heritage site, will host the home of Santa Claus. Here you will find the toys factory with elves and friends, as well as a multimedia crib and a photo exhibition; on weekends, many wooden houses along the streets of the village, to find the perfect gift!
