Only a few days to spring, but nature has already begun to awaken from the winter, giving us a wonderful advance of summer, made ​​of scents, colors, and trees that are dotted with colorful flowers.
Today we want to celebrate the beauty of nature in his floral triumph suggesting some events for its gardens , flowers and decorative greenery that take place in different regions of Italy , where to find creative ideas to flourish our balcony in the city!

1) FRIULI – VENEZIA GIULIA
– Exhibition “Green Thumb” in Gorizia, 4 to 6 April: fair dedicated to the garden, the vegetable garden, green urban ecology, life in the open air, with so many products and ideas for growing flowers and plants.
– “In Spring: Flowers, Water and Castles”, at the Castles of Strassoldo in Cervignano del Friuli, on 12 and 13 April: a weekend to breathe in the charm of century-old gardens in bloom, climb the ancient stone stairs and the beautiful halls while skilled craftsmen show their new proposals.
– “Horti Tegestini”: trade show in Trieste in the Park of San Giovanni, 19-20-21 April: plants and furnishings for the garden, art exhibitions, book presentations, conferences and other events on the theme of green living.

For a green holiday, Farmhouse Al Gelso is located at the center of a large farm south of Udine. The house takes its name from an ancient mulberry tree that is proudly displayed in the center of the estate. The restaurant serves typical dishes such as ricotta gnocchi, ravioli or risotto, where the protagonists are local products such as asparagus, pumpkin, radicchio and mushrooms.

2) EMILIA – ROMAGNA
-“Giardini d’Autore”: show dedicated to all lovers of gardening in Villa Lodi Fèin the heart of Riccione, on 21-22-23 March. Here you can discover the novelties of the best Italian gardeners, such as herbs, roses, aquatic plants, vines, citrus and ornamental plants, and many curiosities.
– “Gardens of the Este”: exhibition of rare plants market in the historic center of Ferrara, on 3 and 4 May. The colors and the fragrance of flowers are the protagonists of the show: two days dedicated to botanical equipment and the ecology of gardening around the streets of the historic castle and in its halls.
– “Georgica d’Emilia”: Feast of the land, water and farming  which is held in Lido Po of Guastalla on 3 and 4 May. On display traditional varieties of fruits, flowers, vegetables and seeds, as well as organic local food and wine, but also a festival of environmental art of the Po and the waterways.

The Farmhouse Centopini is located on the hills of the Romagna coast near Riccione, in a park of 7,000 square meters. The cuisine is the pride of the Staccoli family, who personally oversee the dishes and present all the flavors and traditions of Romagna: homemade pasta, fresh fish, savory meats such as “rabbit in porchetta”, piada ,and homemade desserts.

3) TUSCANY
– “Verdemura”: fair- market about gardening and outdoor living, with more than 100 exhibitors. It takes place on 4, 5 and 6 April on the city walls of Lucca: plants, flowers, bulbs, trees, accompanied by excellent food and wine  in a setting of great charm.

Farmhouse Poggio Alle Ville

– “Daffodil Festival”: in Fivizzano at Villa La Pescigola, on April 23 to 27 you can see the flowering of more than 200 thousand daffodils in the garden around the old villa. Unique in Italy is the stunning reenactment of the late labyrinth with over 50,000 daffodils in bloom.
– “Fragrances of Boboli”: in Florence, at the lemon grove of Villa Strozzi on May 22 to 25, room for fragrances, perfumes, soaps, essential oils, herbal extracts, spices, flowers and plants together with design objects.

For a stay in Tuscany, Farmhouse Poggio Alle Ville is nestled in the countryside, with beautiful apartments and an exclusive villa with panoramic pool. The ancient village of the XVII century, has been carefully restored and here you can taste typical Tuscan dinners and attend cooking classes.

4) LAZIO
– “Floracult”: The event, created to help bring nature back to the center of cultur , through workshops, events, and many exhibitors will take place in Rome in the Park of Veio from April 25 to April 27.
– “Blooming of Peonies”: in Vitorchiano at the Botanical Center Moutan, from 1 April to 31 May, you can visit the Garden of Peonies to discover these beautiful flowers that create a unique park, which brings together the largest peony collection in the world.

Farmhouse Zugarelli

– “Camellia Festival”: in the city center of Velletri on 22 and 23 March, the main squares are arranged like real gardens, and around this beautiful flower has been built a special circuit that collects exhibitions, cultural, historical and folkloric events and culinary specialties.

The Farmhouse Zugarelli located near Lake Bracciano, is a farm where they grow natural products, breed animals of white and red meat. The family produces homemade pasta, bread and pizza are baked in the wood-burning oven, and here a small community enjoys the pleasure of returning to the origins by working in close contact with nature.

5) SICILY
– “Sicilian Spring”: from March 21 to 23 in Catania and Caltagirone this event is dedicated to the relationship between nature and cities, featuring meetings, workshops, conferences and temporary exhibitions, performances and culinary events.

Farmhouse Al Poggetto

– “Ciuriciuri”: on 5 and 6 April at the nursery Valverde (Catania), there is an exhibition on the theme “Let’s plant Culture”, with rare and unusual plants, meetings, walks, lunches on the grass and garden cinema.
– “The Orange Blossom”: on April 5 and 6 at the Botanical Garden of Palermo, the event is dedicated to biodiversity and the rare plants and collectibles. In addition to the orange blossoms, the symbol of Sicily, we find collections of jasmine and herbs, in the frame of a beautiful garden.

The Farmhouse Al Poggetto rises at 650 meters above sea level in an area rich in ancient olive groves and vineyards. The restaurant serves excellent traditional Sicilian cuisine, giving space to organic products. There is also a center for country riding and a large riding school.
