In the deep south, in one of the most beautiful regions of our country, lies the Farmhouse Torre Casciani. Surrounded by the nature of Salento but close to the beautiful Ionian Coast.
What origins does your facility have?
Our family, for three generations, has owned these lands. In fact, our business was born as a farm, in which the 50 hectares of land were managed and processed. Later, in 1995 we opened the restaurant, and in 1997 the bed and breakfast.
What kind of services do you offer?
We offer to our guests the swimming pool service and we provide a soccer field for matches. In addition, our restaurant is open every evening and ready to make you taste the dishes of our tradition.
So, what are the dishes that you propose?
Everything that we offer our guests to eat, from breakfast to dinner is homemade by us with the products of our land: jams, wine, potatoes, etc.. Our dishes are characterized by our cereals, such as wheat and barley and legumes, such as chickpeas, widely used in our kitchen. One of the dishes that is the most popular is the Cicilietria, that is pasta with chickpeas.
How is the surrounding landscape? Which are its points of interest?
Our estate is just 2 km from the sea, from the Ionian Coast, and is located halfway between Gallipoli and Cape St. Maria di Leuca.
And you, what do you love the most about your land?
The climate! We are located 29 meters above sea level and this makes the area very fresh, an oasis of well-being. And we have the sea just 2 km away and the Regional Natural Park of the Coast of Ugento, a sea not to be missed!
