Sagra_sfogliatellaDate: 1st August  – 31 October 2013

Location: Conca dei Marini (SA)

Region: Campania

The Feast of Santa Rosa sfogliatella  has its origins in the eighteenth century. It is celebrated in the village of Conca dei Marini, a little town of just over 700 inhabitants located in the province of Salerno.

This very famous dessert, deeply rooted in the culinary tradition of Campania, has been cooked for the first time by the cloistered nuns who lived in the monastery dedicated to the saint whose festival is named.

This event represents an excellent opportunity to taste the authenticity of Campania’s bakery tradition, and to experience the beauty of a part of the Amalfi Coast little touched by mass tourism.
