The official publication of the regional law that governs the activity of farmhouses in Veneto dates back to last August . This is the law number 20 of 10 August 2012, which, in recent days, has been the focus of the managers of farmhouses because of some additions, which do not fundamentally alter the layout of the content of the law.

The main changes concern sanitation, introducing the mandatory presence of an enclosed space used for the slaughtering of poultry, and the rules on penalties, that may be imposed on the basis of several criteria, including the number of beds and the number of seats in the restaurant area.

These integrations made at the beginning of the year introduce some points that adjust the level of farmhouses in the Veneto region to the assett of farmhouses in the rest of Europe, observing in detail the particulars of the health and efficiency of the different activities that take place at a farmhouse.
