The film The Postman has marked the history of Italian cinema of the last 20 years, loved by many fans of great Massimo Troisi. Procida, the island where the movie  was set, remembers it with a festival, realized with the support of the Calabria Region and the Muniipality.

On December 28th, the award ceremony of The Postman’s island will take place, a series of short poems and video works made ​​by artists who, as you can read in the announcement of the award,  are going to celebrate the beauty of our country in relation to the cinematographic art. This national award is undoubtedly an extremely important idea, since they want to bring into the spotlight a place that is visited by many people also because of the memory of the film, which still is alive in the memory of many film buffs.

This event is the testimony of how art can actually change the perception of a place, and it’s a great opportunity to get fresh and interesting creative energies.
