A special feature of the context of Lombardy is the distinction between family farmhouses and business-like farmhouses.
The substantial difference between the two types is the maximum number of guests that can be accommodated daily, 10 and 60 respectively. For farmhouse activities pre-existing buildings should be used and, in the case of restoration of valuable facilities, it is necessary to submit the appropriate application before starting it all.
