Enclosed by the Appennini chain and the Adriatic Sea, this wonderful land strikes people for the diversity of its landscapes, the beauty of its hilly panorama and the pristine look of its coasts.
This region is the ideal destination for those who want to combine the immersion into an extremely rich natural heritage with the exploration of some of the most charming art cities in Italy, and why not, with good food. Do not miss Urbino, which was defined as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and which still shows the traces of a thousand-year-old history, with its Palazzo Ducale, the former Monastero di Santa Chiara, and the House of Raffaello. Also worth visiting Recanati, made immortal by the pen of Leopardi, and the walled-in city of Macerata, while the richness of forts and castles such as the beautiful Rocca Roveresca di Senigallia is amazing, as well as the high number of shrines and abbeys, among which the Shrine of the Santa Casa in Loreto stands out.

Specialties
The dishes of the tradion of Marche are rich and tasty, and meat and fish contend for the leading role. Taste the braciole all’Urbinate and sarde alla marchigiana and, among appetizers, the “chicchiripieno” based on tuna, anchovies and pickles. Among the desserts we mention the serpe di Apiro, which according to the tradition was created by the enclosed monks of the convent in Apiro.

Events
There are countless occasions to plunge into local culture: many events allow people to get a first-hand experience of tradition: just to mention a few, the Armata di Pentecoste, a historic commemoration that climaxes in a spectacular joust, and the ancient fair of Santa Maria di Moie.

Offers and Last Minute
