Discovering Parco del Mincio, a weekend for bike lovers…but also for lazy people!

An excursion in  the open air on the bicycle path that connects Peschiera and Mantova (about 40 km, it’s all flat!) and goes through a landscape full of natural and architectural beauties: unspoiled surroundings, rivers, medieval villages and big cities.

The itinerary starts from Peschiera del Garda. Leaving behind the enchanting Garda Lake and following Mincio river you arrive at Borghetto, a small village with a big XIV century bridge and ancient mills.

The next stop is Valeggio sul Mincio dominated by the XIII century Castello Scaligero and famous for the Sigurtà Park, one of the most beautiful gardens in Italy.

The path continues in direction of Soave, through hills and woods, where you can stop to taste the delicious wine of this area.

Finally, you reach Mantova where you can admire the wonders of the city. Don’t miss Reggia dei Gonzaga, Palazzo Te and the medieval cathedral of S.Pietro.
