Here’s a tip to enjoy the vacation days from work in the beautiful province of Treviso in the picturesque setting of Asolo, one of the most beautiful towns in Italy!
Asolo offers many points of great historical, artistic and cultural heritage. The village is in fact characterized by narrow streets, palaces and porches with great views.
The town retains a medieval collection as it is within the ancient walls within which you can admire the castle tower with the unique characteristic that Reata is now the theater dedicated to Eleonora Duse. The actress especially loved the town because that is where his will was buried.
Another monument to visit is the Palazzo della Ragione, built in the ‘400 and currently houses the Civic Museum.
Do not miss the medieval Cathedral, a historic Episcopal renewed in the 700 project by Massari. Then Piazza Brugnoli, where the Roman baths were visited in the last stretch of the Roman called “Bot”.
In the same square, and in dominating position on the c ‘is a splendid villa Scotti-Pasini a beautiful eighteenth century building with its characteristic terraced gardens.
Just moved from Old Town is open to the public the wonderful furnace Asolo. The furnace is home to numerous cultural events, this one in particular organized in collaboration with the province of Treviso.
Until November 14, 2010 the exhibition will feature a selection of works of the International Arte Laguna Prize 2009. The ‘Arte Laguna Prize collection’ is open to the public from Thursday to Saturday from 16.00 to 19.00 and Sundays also from 10.00 to 12.00. Just this Saturday we will be opening at 17.30.
