The farmhouse "La Maddalena " comes from a long experience, in agricultural and zootechnical field, owned by the Lagala family, with the complicity of an outstanding locality for archaeological sites and landscapes surrounding it.
La Maddalena it is the name of the county where the farmhouse is, at the foot of the plateau, flourishing and fertile because of the ancient volcanic eruptions, on which stand Venosa, a ancient town rich of history and culture.
The farhouse "La Maddalena " can count on a farm of 70 hectares of land between cultivation of cereals ed vegetables, moreover vineyards, orchards and olive groves; not to mention a cattle-breeding of bovines, pigs, horses and chickens.
"La Maddalena " has at its disposal a restaurant, with a wide room in peasant style, comfortable rooms with endowed services of heating and conditioned air.
You will taste homemade, typically lucane specialties, and discover the tradition of genuine food… production of the Lagala family, you can taste an outstanding red wine aglianico D.O.C. and also cold meats, like salsiccia, soppressata, ham and capocollo. Of every day production fresh cheeses, like scamorza, ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese.
Our Rooms inside an evocative courtyard are all christened with names that evoke our peasants traditions, and at the same time have been planned for the maximum comfort and hospitality.
All the rooms are equipped with bath, television set, heating and independent conditioning.
"La Maddalena " has also a swimming pool, to relax and enjoy an outdoor day, and a riding track for the horse riding lovers.
