Description San Pietro

Surrounded by the wonderful green areas typical of Lucanian countryside, Agriturismo San Pietro, takes its name from an old Monastery which overlooks the entire restaurant.
An ideal place to spend some time in absolute relax in contact with nature, Agriturismo San Pietro, is located in the town of Rapolla, on the north weste slopes of Mount Vulture, agricultural centre with excellent productions of extra vergin olive oil as well as wine such as Aglianico DOC, Malvasia and Moscato.
The place offers a play area for children and the possibility to go horse riding (in the near future). The restaurant is located on the ground floor where there are 40 seats available as well as seats outside on terraces overlooking the green lawn.
The welcoming dining room, furnished in rustic style, creates a warm and cozy environment making guests feel at ease. Here they will be able to eat the typical food of the area made with genuine products cultivated mainly by us at San Pietro.
On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms, two doubles and two triples, and on the ground floor there is another triple bedroom suitable to host disabled people with all services included, carefully furnished in order to ensure a warm and familiar environment.
Leaving San Pietro, our guests will be able to visit the Castle of Melfi (6 Km), Lagopesole (25 Km), Venosa (15 Km) the wonderful town so dear to the poet Orazio with its amazing Archeological Parc, Matera (100 Km) considered World Heritage by the Unesco, Castel del Monte (70 Km) and the famous Lucanian Dolomites (60 Km).
From Spring 2011 it is possible to discover the roads and tracks used by the so-called "Briganti ", in the middle of the woods of Mount Vulture, either horse back riding, walking or riding a bycicle.
