Surrounded by 370 acres of citrus groves, vineyards and wheat fields, San Teodoro is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy a truly relaxing vacation.
A short drive away from the sandy Ionian beaches, the Bed and Breakfast allows its guests to enjoy a unique combination of countryside, sea, art, and wonderful regional food.
San Teodoro Nuovo has belonged to the Visconti di Modrone family for generations. Originally used as a hunting reserve, San Teodoro was transformed into a farming estate by the Duke and Duchess Marcello and Xenia Visconti di Modrone in the early 20th Century.
It was further improved and lovingly looked after by their daughter, the Marquise Marina D’Oria. Currently managed by Maria Xenia D’Oria, the farm specialises in the production of organic citrus fruits, table grapes, wheat and olive oil.
The estate currently numbers 9 residences, each named after a different variety of orange or herb. The farmhouses have been furnished [with family antiques] and are equipped with mode comforts including air conditioning and television. All residences enjoy direct access to patios and gardens, and are a short stroll from our swimming pool.
Breakfast and dinner are served at our restaurant. Our chef, Camilla, sources the freshest local ingredients to prepare mouthwatering traditional dishes. Where possible, we try to use produce grown organically on the estate.
