Antica masseria in agro di Calvello, located on a hill at an altitude of 860 meters above sea level, surrounded by large clearings and woods, where free animals of native breeds graze. In the estate there are two springs that form a stream, which crosses it before flowing into the river that flows downstream of the property. The company is located in the center of Val Camastra, bordered by some of the highest peaks of the Lucanian Appennino National Park and enjoys a strategic position, being located in the heart of Basilicata: 20 min. by car from Lake Camastra, 30 min. from the ski slopes of Sellata Pierfaone, 40 min. from Monte Vulturino and 45 min. from the ski slopes of Monte di Viggiano. The medieval villages of Calvello and Laurenzana are 15 minutes away. In fact, it is possible to visit the Planetarium-Astronomical Observatory and the Poliscenico Crib, while Laurenzana hosts a sports center including a semi-Olympic pool and tennis and soccer fields. Of extreme religious interest are also the Sanctuary of Monteforte di Abriola and the Sanctuary of Monte Saraceno di Calvello.

Our kitchen offers ancient recipes, combining the unique quality of our organic products and the meat of our farms, with the talent, passion and professionalism of the staff. It follows the ability to serve unique dishes, with authentic flavors: bread, focaccia, calzone ("pizza rustica"), taralli, biscuits, friselle ("stozze"); homemade pasta: orecchiette, fusilli, cortecce, cavatelli, ravioli, tagliatelle and "manate"; roasts, grills and cake tins based on the Lucanian Appennino lamb, the Nero Lucano pig, the free-range chicken and turkey; cured meats, jams and marmalades, in oil and in vinegar, legumes.

Surroundings (Calvello)

In about 45 min. by car you can reach two of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa, and the tourist attractions of the Volo dell'Angelo, Via Ferrata, the Route of the Seven Stones, the Nepalese Bridge, the Park of the Grancia di Brindisi di Montagna , where you can watch the show of the Bandita History, of the Utopian City of Campomaggiore and of the Adventure Park of Albano di Lucania. A little over an hour are the Ponte alla Luna di Sasso di Castalda, the Sassi di Matera, European Capital of Culture 2019, and the villages of Guardia Perticara, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, and of Aliano, with the literary park of Carlo Levi.
