Villa Pardi - "Il Giardino dei Ciliegi " is a three building complex formed by a seventeenth century house and two cottages restored and elegantly furnished. The Villa was built around the middle of the 18th century as a country house for summer holidays. It stands on the top of the hill facing the ancient village of Manoppello, and it is encircled by a wide garden that blends with the green of the hill.
The complex was so called in memory of the georgian princess Kety Mkheidzè, wife of the owner Gr.Uff. Manlio Pardi. This italian villa, so loved by Kety, who found again the suggestive beauty of the georgian hills in the surrounding landscape, renews the country holiday tradition, an ancient pleasure, simple and refined. The owners, Licio and Marilena Pardi, with patience and care transformed this ancient family residence in one of the most beautiful place of the region.
The Villa is composed by three floors, the last one is taken by a beautiful terrace where it is possible to admire the sea and the sloves of the Maiella National Park mountains. On the noble floor of the Villa there is a beautiful hall for meetings and exhibitions; on the lower floor, facing a secular garden, there is a refined room where the furniture gives a warmth you can find only in your home. Thanks to the nearness of the halls to the garden, it is possible to spend pleasant summer evenings in the open.
The villa is in an enviable position, at the edge of the Maiella National Park and near the Abruzzo National Park, only at 15 km from the mountains and 30 km from the sea.
The " Classic " rooms are furnished with antiques or poor art respecting the style of the area. The rooms are located in the old farmer house, in the middle of the property and have a surface of 20-30 square meters. Each room is enriched by a beautiful view of Abruzzo 's hills, has its own bathroom, A/C, heating, cable TV, and Wi-Fi on demand. It is possible to have twin beds or a third bed upon request.
Our farm, a part of the land around the Villa, is more than 100 hectares large (placed on the right of the Pescara river, on the hills facing the river and on the valley plain).
On the hills there are 19 hectares of vineyard: Montepulciano, Cerasuolo and Trebbiano d 'Abruzzo all registered in the production list of D.O.C. wine (Controlled Origin Denomination), and also the olive-yard for the extravergin olive oil.
On the valley plain we cultivate cereals, peas, tobacco, fruits and vegetables for agriturism necessity.
We also breed chickens for eggs and meat, and sometimes lambs and pigs for the home consumption.
